Copyright & Intellectual Property Policy – Coming Geek

Welcome to Coming Geek. Our platform is dedicated to the curation and promotion of trailers, posters, and promotional materials for movies, series, and games. We are deeply committed to respecting intellectual property and acting as an ethical bridge between content creators and the global audience.

1. Nature of Content and Official Sources

Coming Geek does not host, store, or illegally distribute video files, full episodes, or software.

Trailers and Teasers: All audiovisual content is displayed via official embedding (embed) from verified channels (such as YouTube and Vimeo). This ensures that views and ad revenue are attributed directly to the original rights holders.

Authenticity Label: To help our users identify official content, all trailers and assets provided directly by studios are marked with an "Official" label.

2. Posters and Promotional Artwork (Official vs. Fan Posters)

We believe visual art is essential to the geek experience. Our image display policy is categorized as follows:

Official Posters: Labeled with the "Official Poster" badge, these are materials provided by distributors and studios for press and marketing purposes.

Fan Posters: In the absence of an official poster or to celebrate community creativity, we use artwork created by designers and enthusiasts. These are clearly marked with the "Fan Poster" badge.

Credits and Fair Use: The use of these artworks is based on the principle of Fair Use for informative and transformative purposes. We guarantee proper credit by mentioning the artistic name or the name provided by the author when requesting the right to use the image.

3. Content Life Cycle (Update Policy)

To keep our platform focused on the latest news and upcoming releases, we follow a data maintenance guideline:

Active Removal: Trailers and promotional artwork are generally removed from our active grid 30 days (one month) after the official release date of the work.

We do not maintain permanent archives or historical collections of third-party materials once they have passed their active promotional period.

4. Takedown Notifications and DMCA

If you are the legal copyright holder of any material displayed on Coming Geek and believe its use violates your rights or corporate guidelines, please contact us immediately:

  Notification Emails:

webluvuma@gmail.com

 angocinema@gmail.com

Requirements: Please include proof of ownership and the direct link to the content in question.

Response Time: We commit to reviewing and, if justified, removing the content within 72 business hours.

5. User Responsibility and Conduct

Coming Geek does not allow the uploading of files by external users. Interaction or comment areas are strictly monitored:

The publication of links to pirated content or unauthorized materials is strictly prohibited.

Content that violates this rule will be removed, and the user may be banned from the platform.

6. Disclaimer

While we strive to ensure the accuracy of information and credits, Coming Geek is not responsible for changes in release dates made by studios or for the modification of third-party links (such as videos removed from YouTube by the official channels themselves).

7. Updates

This policy may be updated without prior notice to reflect changes in legislation or our internal operations. We recommend checking this page regularly.
